Joshua is a solicitor who advises on all areas of Intellectual Property law including contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on clients from the music, media and fashion industries. He also has experience conducting defamation and privacy litigation, acting for both claimants and defendants.
Before joining Briffa, Joshua was a paralegal at a boutique West End media and defamation firm, and later completed his training contract at a large full-service city firm.
Joshua grew up in Paris, where he worked as a professional session musician (percussions and drums), and as a production assistant in the music industry. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in law at the Sorbonne, before moving to London to complete an LL.M in Media and Entertainment Law at the University of Westminster.
Outside work, Joshua is still involved in a number of music-related projects as a musician, producer and DJ.
Joshua speaks fluent French and German, and is due to qualify as a French Avocat in September 2019.
