Gifty began her career as a Trade Attorney in private practice with magic circle law firms and traditional Patent & Trade Mark Attorney firms.  She later joined Unilever, then the world’s largest brand owner, where she worked for six years as a Global Trade Mark Counsel where she gained invaluable commercial acumen partnering with marketing clients and stakeholders.  Gifty progressed her career to become the sole in-house Trade Mark Attorney for PepsiCo International Limited with respect to its UK & Ireland business where she supported the Global Chief Trade Mark Counsel and Vice President by building and managing all aspects IP related matters and providing trade mark law support to the UK & Ireland business.
