Imogen is a Solicitor at Briffa with experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, as well as on a broad range of related commercial and regulatory issues. She has worked with clients across a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, fashion, food and beverage, life sciences, luxury, retail and media, helping them to protect, enforce and maximise the value of their intellectual property rights.
Prior to joining Briffa, Imogen worked in the Intellectual Property team at one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms, where she advised on a wide range of intellectual property disputes and advisory matters. Her experience includes acting in trade mark infringement, copyright infringement and passing off disputes before the Irish High Court and Irish Court of Appeal, as well as advising on brand protection, enforcement strategy and commercial IP issues. She has worked closely with both in-house legal teams and leading international law firms on complex multi-jurisdictional matters, developing a strong commercial understanding of the challenges faced by IP-rich businesses.
Imogen has significant experience managing complex and time-sensitive matters. She is passionate about helping brands protect and strengthen their intellectual property portfolios and achieve their wider business objectives.
Background and qualifications
Imogen holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Law with Social Justice) from University College Dublin. As part of her studies, she studied abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden. She holds a certification in Environmental Law from the Law Society of Ireland and in Fashion Law from Fordham Law School.
Imogen was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 2025 and to the Roll of Solicitors in England & Wales in 2026.
