William advises on a broad range of intellectual property matters with a focus on contentious work. He specialises in particular on trade mark, design and copyright disputes, passing off claims and domain name complaints.
He has acted for our clients in both the High Court and Intellectual Property Enterprise Court. William also regularly deals with opposition and invalidity actions at the UK and EU Intellectual Property Office.
William completed his legal studies with a distinction from the College of Law, Guildford. He joined us in 2014 after leaving another London-based law firm where he acted for a wide variety of clients including international hair care brands and highly acclaimed sports personalities.
William also acts as Briffa’s liaison with a number of our affiliate trade associations, including the British Footwear Association, A©ID: Anti Copying In Design, the Greetings Card Association and the Food & Drink Federation.
Outside of work, William is a keen DIY enthusiast and loves trying to “build” things, with mixed results.
