Monica Mirchandani – Paralegal
Monica joined Briffa in July 2017 and intends to qualify as an intellectual property lawyer. Just prior to starting, she had been working towards creating her own chocolate brand in addition to building a client base as a freelance business & branding consultant, advising SMEs and start-ups with their social media and digital marketing strategy.
Monica also possesses extensive legal and transactional project management experience in a multitude of industries, including but not limited to FMCG, telecommunications and technology. She worked in the Corporate Restructuring team at Ernst & Young managing global large scale and UK-based small-scale solvent liquidations projects to realise assets in order to fund various group structure ventures. Prior to this role, she worked as a company secretarial assistant within the pharmaceutical and telecoms industries and as a Litigation and Commercial law paralegal at various City law firms.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) honours degree from the University of Leicester and has completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law (formerly College of Law) in London. She has also completed the General Certificate in Intellectual Property Law with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy.
Monica’s passion for art, design and innovation stems from various childhood trips with her architect uncle. She is an obsessive chocolate connoisseur and foodie at heart and is often found championing small independent food brands, up and coming chefs and sampling the culinary delights of London and beyond.
