Jake Hayes – Solicitor
Jake is an intellectual property lawyer, advising clients from a wide range of sectors on the management, exploitation and enforcement of their intellectual property rights.
Jake has experience dealing with contentious patents, trade mark, designs and copyright matters. On the non-contentious side, Jake has advised clients on and drafted commercial contracts dealing with various IP rights issues. Jake also has experience in relation to brand and IP rights protection strategies, which includes EU Customs enforcement.
Before joining Briffa, Jake trained and qualified at another leading specialist London IP law firm. Prior to working in the legal sector, Jake worked for several national charities where he formed commercial partnerships and brand licensing agreements with major companies throughout the UK.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys mountain-biking, skiing and spending time with his family.
