Éamon is a qualified solicitor who advises on the protection, management, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property, including copyright, designs, trademarks and patents. He advises a broad spectrum of clients including authors, literary agents, publishers, film production companies, clothing and footwear designers, greeting card designers, furniture designers, graphic designers, sculptors, technology start-ups, business consultants, IT consultants and others.
Before joining Briffa, Éamon gained experience in financial and commercial law with a large U.S. law firm. He trained with a large commercial law firm in Dublin. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Éamon worked as a programmes coordinator with an educational charity based in London where he ran debating and public speaking competitions and workshops for secondary school and university students.
Éamon qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in June 2015 and in the Republic of Ireland in April 2015. He has an undergraduate degree in law and the Irish language (BCL) and a postgraduate degree in law (LLB) from University College Cork.
