A CAREER WITH BRIFFA
Based in Islington’s Business Design Centre, Briffa is always interested in hearing from dynamic people who wish to join the team and are passionate about Intellectual Property Law. Briffa is a friendly, culturally diverse firm of specialist lawyers. We focus on all aspects of intellectual property law and the legal issues facing businesses that rely on creativity and ingenuity in their products and branding. Established in 1995, we are one of the most experienced and successful intellectual property teams in London. We advise clients in various industries including media, computer games, advertising, fashion, internet, new media and design. We offer fantastic opportunities for bright and dedicated individuals who are successful on application. You may be at the start of a career in law or have already gained valuable experience. However in whatever capacity you are applying to Briffa, you will have the opportunity to mould and shape your own destiny within the field of IP/IT.
Briffa Intellectual Property lawyers are looking for a NQ or similar to join in the adventure.
You will be amazing or want to become amazing and be known as an amazing intellectual property lawyer. You will like talking to people, be hard working and enthusiastic. You will have ambition, lots of ideas and not feel like you will follow the herd. You must enjoy solving problems.
You will obviously need all the various bits of paper to show you are a qualified solicitor in England and Wales (da da) but beyond that what we are looking for is someone who truly enjoys helping people legally and commercially and would relish the chance to be able to develop themselves within a team of likeminded and supportive lawyers. While your experience will be looked at – it does not trump the right attitude and a genuine desire to make the most of this opportunity. A history of challenging authority and/or the status quo a definite advantage. Strictly no head girl/boy types or grade 8 violin.
Successful candidate can look forward to interesting work, pay, free cakes on Fridays and the odd laugh along the way.

Briffa has adopted the Law Society Diversity Policy
Briffa is committed to treating everyone equally, fairly and considerately regardless of age, background, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion or belief or sexual orientation. We believe Briffa does this and that, for a firm our size, our workforce reasonably reflects the different diversity characteristics. To help us assess this, Briffa regularly asks everyone in its workforce to self-classify themselves against a range of diversity characteristics and collects, analyses and reports the data. However, because of the size of the Briffa’s workforce and the limited numbers in many of the diversity characteristics and even though not everyone has responded and the data has been anonymised, we feel that there is such a risk that individuals might be re-identified from any publication of the data that we have decided not to publish any here.
